George Klauser, Chief Executive Officer
George Klauser joined Opportunity Partners as Chief Executive Officer in April 2010. Prior to that, George was Vice President responsible for worldwide customer service for Xiotech Corporation. He has nearly 30 years of service and sales operations experience in information services. George’s service to nonprofits is extensive. At Opportunity Partners, he has served 12 years on the organization’s Board of Directors, including as Board Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary. He has also been a volunteer for various programs including the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, United Way, and Courage Center. He is also a Permanent Fellow of The Walter Mondale policy forum at the University of Minnesota/Carlson School of Management. Having a grown daughter and a grandchild with special needs, George cares deeply about providing quality services that help people with disabilities build their talents, lead rewarding lives and experience greater independence.
Henry Blissenbach , Chairman of the Board of Directors
Henry Blissenbach is President and Chairman of Osprey Enterprises, Inc., a growth and exit strategy consulting company. Prior to this, he enjoyed a long and successful career in health care, including serving as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Chronimed, Inc., and BioScrip, Inc., both specialty pharmacy companies. Before that, he served as President of Diversified Pharmaceutical Services, a pharmacy benefit management company, and a subsidiary of United HealthGroup, Inc. He has a doctorate degree from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy. A long-time advocate of Opportunity Partners and employer of people with disabilities, he joined the organization’s Board of Directors in 1998.
Jon Thompson, President

Jon Thompson joined Opportunity Partners as President and Chief Executive Officer in November 1998 and in April 2010 transitioned to the role of President. As President, Jon focuses on fundraising, donor relations and legislative advocacy. Prior to coming to Opportunity Partners, Jon spent seven years as the Chief Executive Officer of Hammer Residences. Jon has extensive experience in health care management, including nursing homes, retirement projects, services for people with disabilities and mental health. Among his degrees and certifications are four from the University of St. Thomas: an MBA, a master's degree in special education, bachelor's degree in art, and bachelor's degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and certified administrator. Jon serves on the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce Board and is the former president of the Wayzata Rotary Club. He is a past board member of the Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota and the Minnesota Association of Community Rehabilitation Organizations. In 2006, he was appointed to the Governor's Workforce Development Council.
