Jon Thompson, President and Chief Executive Officer

Jon Thompson became Opportunity Partners' Chief Executive Officer/President in November of 1998, after seven years as the Chief Executive Officer of Hammer Residences in Wayzata. Jon has extensive experience in health care management, including nursing homes, retirement projects, supports for persons with developmental disabilities and mental health. Among his degrees and certifications are four from the University of St. Thomas: an MBA, a master's degree in special education, bachelor's degree in art, and bachelor's degree in accounting. He is a licensed and Certified Public Accountant and certified administrator. As CEO/President, Jon directs an executive team of dedicated professionals and an annual organizational budget of $28 million. Jon serves on the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce Board and is the former president of the Wayzata Rotary Club. He is an active member of the Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota and the Minnesota Association of Community Rehabilitation Organizations. Jon also serves on the Program Committee of the Minneapolis Club. In 2006, he was appointed to the Governor's Workforce Development Council.

Henry Blissenbach , Chairman of the Board of Directors

Henry Blissenbach is President and Chairman of Osprey Enterprises, Inc., a growth and exit strategy consulting company. Prior to this, he enjoyed a long and successful career in health care, including serving as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Chronimed, Inc., and BioScrip, Inc., both specialty pharmacy companies. Before that, he served as President of Diversified Pharmaceutical Services, a pharmacy benefit management company, and a subsidiary of United HealthGroup, Inc. He has a doctorate degree from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy. A long-time advocate of Opportunity Partners and employer of people with disabilities, he joined the organization’s Board of Directors in 1998.
